DEHRADUN: Nainital Knights defeated Pithoragarh Warriors by seven wickets in the Uttarakhand Cricket League played at Rangers College ground here on Sunday.

Dehradun: Nainital Knights defeated Pithoragarh Warriors by seven wickets in the Uttarakhand Cricket League played at Rangers College ground here on Sunday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Pithoragarh Warriors scored 120 runs for seven wickets. Devender Kumar and Abhimanyu scored 28 runs each for the team while Arjun Sharma from Nainital Knights took three wickets for 24 runs.

In reply, Nainital Knights scored 121 runs for three wickets and won the match by seven wickets. Bhriguraj scored an unbeaten 63 runs while Ankit scored 25.

In the second match, Rudraprayag Riders beat Chamoli Chargers by 81 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Rudraprayag Riders scored 171 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Anuj Rawat scored 66 runs while Anshula Dhiman scored 53 runs for Rudraprayag Riders. 

Nasir Hussain took three wickets for 33 runs. Chasing the total, Chamoli Chargers were all out for 90 runs losing the match by 81 runs. Gaurav Tomar took three wickets for 17 runs.

In the third match of the day, Haridwar Hybrids defeated Rudraprayag Riders by eight wickets. Batting first, Rudraprayag Riders were bowled out for 110 runs. Gaurav Tomar scored 53 runs while Anuj Rawat scored 29 runs for the team. Sunny Kashyap took four wickets for 21 runs for Haridwar Hybrids. 

Haridwar Hybrids scored 117 for two wickets to win the match by eight wickets. Kartik Joshi and Shivam scored 34 and 33 runs, respectively. — TNS
