Beginning tomorrow, passengers of the noon Chandigarh-New Delhi Shatabdi will have to board the train (12046) from platform number two instead of platform number one at the Chandigarh railway station.

Directions in this regard were issued to the local authorities by Ambala Railway Division today.

According to the schedule, the Shatabdi (12046) will depart from the Chandigarh railway station at noon.

Confirming the development, Ambala Divisional Railway Manager Dinesh Kumar said the platform for boarding the Shatabdi had been changed in view of problems faced by the operational and security staff.

He said the departure of several trains was getting delayed because of the Shatabdi.

There is no change in the schedule of the other Shatabdi trains, which depart or arrive at the Chandigarh railway station.
