Mahendragarh, June 30

Irked over the ‘non-committal’ attitude of the BJP government towards their demands, sacked guest teachers will ghereo BJP legislators and the ministers besides locking government schools with the help of khap representatives.

This decision was taken by a 25-member core committee at a meeting held today after the end of ‘Rozgar Bachao Rally’ in the Devi Lal Park.

Rajender Shastri, chief of Haryana Atithi Adhyapak Sangh, told the media that they now had no other option but to gherao the MLAs and Ministers to mount pressure on the government.

He said 11,000 working guest teachers would also boycott their classes from July 1 to express solidarity with them.

Earlier, members of various khaps said that they would lock the main gates of government schools if the demands of the protesters were not met.

Condition of protester worsens

The health of Vijay Narwal, one of the protesters on fast, deteriorated during the rally.

He was rushed to the general hospital.
