Shimla, July 13
The Shimla Municipal Corporation team led by Deputy Mayor Tikender Panwar on Wednesday raided chicken suppliers and found dead and fungus infested chicken.
The team seized quintals of dead chicken and sent it for testing at a Vet lab. An FIR would be lodged after the report, sources said.
The role of the state food safety and regulation has come under the scanner. The threat of bird flu due to dead chicken is very high.
