Bathinda, January 2
A special train to Patna Sahib under the Mukh Mantri Tirath Darshan Yatra scheme was flagged off by ADC Shena Aggarwal from the Bathinda railway station today. The train carried more than 1,000 devotees from Bathinda, Sri Muktsar Sahib and Mansa districts.
The devotees will pay obeisance at the Takht Sri Patna Sahib on the eve of the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh at Patna and will return after January 6. Giving details about this religious tour, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) said adequate arrangements had been made to facilitate the devotees during their journey and stay.
The state had already undertaken free-of-cost pilgrimage to Shri Nanded Sahib (Maharashtra), Varanasi, Ajmer Sharif and Chennai. Besides, the state government had also launched another such scheme to run free-of-cost buses to holy places in Salasar (Rajasthan), Mata Chintpurni (Himachal Pradesh) and Mata Vaishno Devi (Katra).
