The Chandigarh Police carried out a checking of auto-rickshaws and their drivers in connection with a case of gang rape in Chandigarh last month.
According to reports, the Chandigarh Police carried out a verification of registration numbers of CNG type auto-rickshaws and questioned the drivers.
The police suspected that one of the co-accused in the auto-rickshaw rape case was in Mohali. The main suspect had been arrested a few after the incident in which a company employee was gang raped.
