DEHRADUN: Welham Girls’ School beat Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, Haryana by 58-43 points in the final match of the 9th Welham Girls’ School Golden Jubilee All-India Basketball Tournament 2015, played at Welham Girls’ School, here today.

Welham Girls’ School beat Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, Haryana by 58-43 points in the final match of the 9th Welham Girls’ School Golden Jubilee All-India Basketball Tournament 2015, played at Welham Girls’ School, here today.

Sarah Chaudhary was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament. She scored 21 points in the final match.

Anupama Joshi, Wing Commander( retd), director personnel Doon School, was the chief guest at the prize distribution function. She gave away the trophies, individual prizes to the finalists and token of love and appreciation to the coaches, managers, referees and technical officials, who participated in the tournament.

Welham Boys’ to clash with Motilal school

Welham Boys School will clash with Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, in the final of the 11th S Khandhari Memorial Hockey Tournament tomorrow .

In the second semifinal played on Sunday, Welham Boys’ School beat Rashtriya Indian Military College 3-1. Maganpreet of Welham Boys scored all three goals for his school.
