SONEPAT: The Red Cross unit of the local Geeta Vidya Mandir Girls College won five awards at the three-day Haryana Youth Red Cross Training Camp, which concluded at Kurukshetra on Wednesday.

Sonepat, January 10

The Red Cross unit of the local Geeta Vidya Mandir Girls College won five awards at the three-day Haryana Youth Red Cross Training Camp, which concluded at Kurukshetra on Wednesday. Members of the club were accorded a warm welcome to the college on Thursday by OP Pruthi, chairman of the college management committee, and Jyoti Juneja, college principal.

Besides the best team award as well as the best counsellor award to the unit counsellor, Renu Popli, the team won first prizes in group song, group dance and sports events and second prize in skit competition. The principal said as many as 26 teams from 15 districts had participated in the camp. — TNS
