Sonepat: The police have arrested a woman’s husband and her in-laws on the charge of murdering her for dowry. The woman has been identified as Arti, who died in the PGIMS, Rohtak, on November 24. The accused — Rohtas of the district’s Sisana village, and his parents Dharambir and Kanta — were sent to judicial custody. Arti’s father Jagbir said that soon after his daughter’s marriage with Rohtas on February 27, she was tortured for dowry. On November 24, Rohtas informed Arti’s brother Naveen that she was admitted to the PGIMS. When Naveen met with Arti at the hospital, she told him her in-laws had poisoned her. oc
