Fed up with blackmailing, rape victim moves police

A married woman in a village under Siwan police station of Kaithal was repeatedly gangraped by two men in the past few months.

Fed up with their blackmailing, she filed a complaint at the women’s police station at Kaithal following which a case under Section 376(D), 383 and 506 IPC was registered.

SHO Rekha Rani said that the victim was medically examined and her statement was recorded before a Judicial Magistrate under Section 164 CrPC here today.

The victim — in her complaint to the police — has stated that she got her mobile phone recharged from a shop in Siwan village on November 4, 2018.

After that, she returned home. After some time, Kailash, the man who had recharged the phone, contacted her on her phone number. He invited her to a farmhouse on November 6, 2018. Another man, Mukesh, was also present there.

She was allegedly given a cold drink laced with some sedative, following which she became unconscious. When she regained consciousness, the accused told her that they had raped her and prepared a video of her. They threatened to make the video viral if she revealed the incident to anyone.

Once on their demand, she gave them four ‘tola’ jewellery and Rs 25,000 cash. After that, she was allegedly raped by the men on several occasions. Lately, the men started demanding more cash and jewellery, so she approached the police.
