The state government has removed Haryana Seed Development Corporation (HSDC) Managing Director RS Solanki from his post and has given additional charge of this post to Agriculture Director DK Bahera.

Sources said that Bahera was likely to assume charge on Tuesday.

Solanki, who was earlier an additional director in the Agriculture Department, will go to his parent department, according to sources.

Sources said that Solanki had been removed following allegations of mismanagement that led to heavy financial losses to the corporation.

The Tribune on December 20 last year had reported that 50,000 quintals of wheat seed worth nearly Rs 15 crore had remained unsold due to delayed announcement of price by the HSDC.
