PANCHKULA: The special CBI court here on Tuesday convicted an assistant superintendent (posts) posted in Panipat for demanding Rs 1.25 lakh in lieu of getting the complainant appointed as a gramin dak sewak.



Panchkula: The special CBI court here on Tuesday convicted an assistant superintendent (posts) posted in Panipat for demanding Rs 1.25 lakh in lieu of getting the complainant appointed as a gramin dak sewak. The convict has been identified as Phool Singh of Panipat. The quantum of sentence will be pronounced on April 26. The case dates back to July 25, 2016, when Phool Singh had demanded Rs 2.5 lakh from complainant Pradeep Kumar of Badlawa village in Karnal district. tns
