Faridabad, June 16

The state will soon have a hospital for the differently abled persons. This was announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar after laying the foundation stone for an associate unit of the Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) at Newada village in Faridabad on Saturday.

However, the CM did not reveal the project location, but said the hospital would have all state-of-the-art facilities. During his address, the CM claimed that his government had provided corruption-free governance in the past three-and-a-half years and launched pro-people schemes without any bias. His claims follow the allegations of not sanctioning funds for developing the Tigaon segment by Congress MLA Lalit Nagar.

The CM also said over 300 welfare schemes had been launched in the state and efforts were on to provide all public services at a single spot and extend Atal Sewa Kendras — a kind of facilitation centres — to urban and rural pockets. He announced that a local school would be upgraded to the senior secondary level, cow shelters at the cost of Rs 11 lakh each would be set up at Newada and Mohna villages and a stadium would be built at Bukharpur village.

Launches Rs 66-crore projects in Sonepat

Sonepat: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday launched four projects worth Rs 66 crore and carried out a 4-km road show in Sonepat district. The CM inaugurated a Rs 43.8-crore railway overbridge on the Sonepat-Purkhas crossing, a Rs 4.75-crore saral kendra at the local Mini-secretariat, and a Rs 3.62-crore 33-KV power sub-station at Safiabad. oc
