The police have booked two drivers of the local depot of the Haryana Roadway for uploading the photograph of a medical representative on the social media while terming it an incident of blackening the face of a driver for defying the roadways union’s strike call.

On Wednesday, Jaibir, a medical representative and resident of Dhiktana village, was drying up charcoal facial at a barber shop in the town. Lilu Ram, a brother of Jaibir, said that two persons identified as Hanuman and Raju went to the shop and took photographs of his brother in mobile phone without his permission.

After some time, Jaibir got a call from the barber that his photograph had been circulating on the WhatsApp groups with the caption “HR employees’ union leader has blackened the face of a driver who defied their strike call and was trying to ply the bus as per the directions of the administration”.

Police spokesperson Harish Bhardwaj said that a case had been registered against the two drivers under Sections 66A of the IT Act and started investigation.
