6 villages identified for Gram Swaraj Yojana

Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur distributed LPG connections to 82 women under the Ujjwala Yojana in Khanpur village of Una district on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the MP said the Centre was committed towards the empowerment of women belonging to under privileged sections of the community.

The MP said six villages had been identified in Una district for implementing the Gram Swaraj Yojana of the Union government.

Anurag Thakur said cooking food with fuelwood was equivalent to inhaling smoke of hundreds of cigarettes every day causing damage to the lungs.

He said the trial run of trains up to Daulatpur Chowk in Una district was complete and a sum of Rs 80 crore had been sanctioned for the 8-km-long track from Daulatpur Chowk to Talwara on the Nangal-Talwara railway line. BJP state president Satpal Singh Satti also spoke on the occasion.
