A large number of deities and devotees took part in the second procession of Shivratri fair today.

Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, Mandi MP Ram Swaroop Sharma and other dignitaries also joined the Shobha Yatra.

Since morning, deities along with their followers had been started to congregate in front of the Madho Rai temple, the chief deity of the town, to take part in Shobha Yatra. It began around 2:30 pm from the temple for Paddal Ground.

The followers carrying palanquins of their deities danced and sang songs together to celebrate the event. Each village has individual deity.

A huge crowd turned up to witness the event, which was a splendid show of deity culture.
