Mandi, June 16

Former Power Minister Anil Sharma on Sunday shared the dais with IPH Minister Mahender Singh Thakur during a Jan Manch held at Kotli village here on Sunday. It is a native village of the former minister.

During the recent General Election, Mahender Thakur had targeted Anil Sharma on various occasions. The former Power Minister had not attended any BJP rally during the elections as his son Ashray Sharma was contesting from Mandi on Congress ticket.

During the Jan Manch event today, villagers cornered Anil Sharma for a delay in getting forest clearance for the Klotahr-Karnal road.

They alleged that due to the MLA’s apathy, the project had been hanging fire for the last 30 years. Notably, the area falls under the Sadar segment, which is being represented by Anil Sharma as an MLA.

Earlier, 338 complaints were received, of which 91 were addressed on the spot. —  TNS
