Postal ballots to be dispatched for service voters after May 2

Solan, April 22

The District election office today clarified that after the completion of the nomination process on May 2, the final list of candidates would be finalised and the electronically transmitted postal paper ballots be made.

These would be dispatched to 391 record offices of the service voters through e-mail which would be downloaded to facilitate the 2,924 service voters in the military and paramilitary forces to cast their votes. These voters hail from five Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the district.

Officials clarified that earlier only two type of envelops had been dispatched to the record offices and not postal ballots. — TNS
