SRINAGAR: The J&K law department on Wednesday ordered re-designation of four law officers of the J&K High Court. As per the fresh orders issued by Law Secretary Achal Sethi, Raman Sharma, Deputy Advocate General, Jammu, has been re-designated as Additional Advocate General.

The J&K law department on Wednesday ordered re-designation of four law officers of the J&K High Court. As per the fresh orders issued by Law Secretary Achal Sethi, Raman Sharma, Deputy Advocate General, Jammu, has been re-designated as Additional Advocate General. Aijaz Ahmad Lone, Government Advocate, Jammu, has been re-designated as Deputy Advocate General, Hakim Aman Ali, Government Advocate, Srinagar, as Deputy Advocate General, and Asif Maqbool, Government Advocate, Srinagar, has been re-designated as Deputy Advocate General.

Services of public prosecutors terminated

The government has ordered the termination of services of all public prosecutors and additional public prosecutors working in various courts across the state with immediate effect.

The order was issued by Achal Sethi, Secretary to the Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, with further direction to the senior prosecuting officers and chief prosecuting officers of the police department to look after the criminal work in the respective Principal Sessions Courts and Additional Sessions Courts till further orders. —TNS
