Leh at minus 8 degrees Celsius coldest in Kashmir Valley

SRINAGAR: Minimum temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir dropped on Wednesday due to a clear night sky, with Leh town in Ladakh region recording minus 8 degrees Celsius, the MET said.

Minimum temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir dropped on Wednesday due to a clear night sky, with Leh town in Ladakh region recording minus 8 degrees Celsius, the MET said.

It was followed closely by Kargil where temperatures dropped to minus 6.8. In Srinagar it was 1.4, Pahalgam minus 4.8 and minus 5.5 in Gulmarg.

Jammu city recorded 10.8, Katra town 11, Batote 6.9, Banihal 6.4 and Bhaderwah 2.8 degrees Celsius. IANS
