Militant hideout busted in Ramban dist; weapons, explosive devices seized

A militant hideout was on Friday busted in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district and four weapons, 23 explosive devices and a large quantity of ammunition were seized.

Troops of 58 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and police launched a search operation and busted a hideout at Margoti area under Gool Police Station, a senior police officer said.

They seized one AK-47 rifle, one .303 rifle, 7.36 mm star pistol and one under barrel grenade launcher (UBGL). They also seized one AK rifle magazine, one .303 rifle magazine, one pistol magazine with six rounds.

The forces seized 126 rounds of AK rifle, six rounds of .303 rifle, one RPG, two RPG rounds, four UBGL grenades, 13 electric detonators, three hand grenades, a pair of binoculars, two blankets and one milk powder, he said. PTI
