RAJOURI: After an input of suspicious movement, the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the district police launched a search operation at Thandikassi village this afternoon.

After an input of suspicious movement, the Special Operation Group (SOG) of the district police launched a search operation at Thandikassi village this afternoon.

The information was provided to the police by locals and the search operation was launched at about 2 pm.

The entire area around Thandikassi village including forest, under the jurisdiction of the Rajouri police station, was searched, but no suspicious movement was found.

Yougal Manhas, SSP, Rajouri, has issued instructions to all the senior police officers not to take any information lightly and also directed for immediate action on any such inputs.

“For the last many days we have been receiving inputs of suspicious movements from many parts of the district and after every such call/input search operation was conducted,” said a senior police officer.
