Jalandhar, June 25
The Jalandhar Rural Police today arrested three persons, including two siblings, for allegedly smuggling illicit liquor. The police also recovered 11 cartons of illicit liquor.
The accused were identified as siblings, Ganesh Kumar and Luv Kumar, and Kush Kumar, residents of Jalandhar.
Speaking to Jalandhar Tribune, the police said they had information that the accused would supply illicit liquor to customers today.
The police arrested the accused at the Rampur police check-post. They will be presented in court tomorrow where their remand would be sought.
