Array of activities marks art symposium

JALANDHAR:On the second day of the international art symposium being organised at the Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, artists completed their paintings using various styles, including blow painting and action paintings.

On the second day of the international art symposium being organised at the Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, artists completed their paintings using various styles, including blow painting and action paintings.

A cultural evening was organised to apprise the foreign students of the culture of Punjab.

Principal Dr Sucharita said the beauty of international workshops was how cultures commute from one side to other. On the one hand, the purpose of learning new skills was fulfilled and on the other hand we learn something about the culture of others.

The cultural evening was inaugurated by group song sung by students of the department of music.

Filled with the colours of Punjabi culture, folk orchestra; the melodious Western song sung by Saaz Malhotra of BA and Maharashtra’s folk dance  ‘Laavni’ marked the final performances of the evening. It was filled with diverse colours. 

The principal applauded the performance of students and congratulated HoD, the department of music, Dr Amita Mishra and other members of the department and HoD of the department of theatre, Gurpreet Singh.
