‘My life revolves around TV’

How has been your journey so far?

Working on TV has become a part of my life. My life revolves around TV. I love portraying diverse characters and am passionate about acting. But at the same time, I don’t want to limit myself to TV only as I believe an actor should be open to all kinds of roles.

What is something you love most about Indian TV serials?

Indian TV serials are full of entertainment and drama. You hate it or crave it, but can’t ignore it!

Who is your inspiration in terms of acting and why?

Shah Rukh Khan. He is really hard-working and someone who doesn’t take his success for granted.

From all the characters you have worked with, whom do you like the most?

I love my character, Bhoomi, from Sanskaar on Colors.

Quitting engineering and choosing acting as a career was a big decision. How did you manage? 

Yeah, it was a big decision, but I have always been impulsive; so it didn’t take me much time to figure out that acting is my real calling. Moreover, I wasn’t enjoying engineering and for me, it’s important that I enjoy what I do. I can’t do something just for the sake of survival. My boyfriend was also a constant support. Of course, my parents were against my decision initially but with time they were okay with it.

Any Bollywood movie, you wish to be a part of?

Jab We Met and Highway. 

What is that one quality that makes you different from other actors?

My innocence, which even the camera captures. Also, I don’t quit until I achieve my dreams.

Versatile.
