Success ke peeche mat bhago. Kabil bano, kabil. Kambyabi sali jhak maar ke peeche ayegi...This dialogue from 3 Idiots has been the motto in Dharmesh Yelande’s life, who from selling vada pao on a thela, went on to be a dancer, choreographer, actor and a reality show judge!

And, it’s just the beginning! This choreographer from Baroda was in City Beautiful to promote third season of Dance +, his team having won the title in the last two seasons. He is anxious and excited both as this year his team faces Super Judge Remo Fernandes’ international dancers.

“Ek level up is the tagline this year and why not? With a plethora of reality dance shows vying for attention Dance + has to maintain its supremacy.”

Dharmesh’ association with his idol Remo runs deep, he having played a lead in ABCD and a significant part in ABCD 2. As the third instalment gets ready, what do we expect?

“I know that I am in, rest I don’t have a clue.” A dancer to an actor, the transition has not been easy. “My journey has been difficult and dangerous but never had I expected such rewards.”

His life, after success, is certainly not the same anymore. While he still is Pintu for his mother, who wouldn’t mind screaming her heart out if she finds him crossing the line, only her last demand was a BMW now that her son can afford! “I have been through really harsh times when our own people put us down. Thanks to dance that today we have resolved our differences and we are one happy extended family.”

While dance remains Dharmesh’s lifeline and acting is slowly happening with two of his films in the pipeline, he is not averse to other vocations like writing, directing, producing...well as he says take care of your work and the rest will follow!

Catch Star’s Dance + Ek Level Up from July1 8pm

Someone to cheer for

Amardeep Singh Natt is the living embodiment of never-say-die spirit. Rejected twice by Dance +, he is back again to this Star reality show and already has booked a birth in the final 34 contestants. Will this self- taught dancer make it to top 12 that get to perform in season 3 of Dance+?

“I am praying,” says this Mumbai-based 26-year-old from Harsiyan, Batala. While dancing remains his forte, robotics his style! Music is second love and he aims to cut his international albums in the time to come. Amen.
