The Northern Railway authorities have announced to extend the run of 04409/04410 New Delhi-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi bi-weekly AC express train to cope with the extra rush of passengers during the festival season. The train would make five additional trips in each direction beginning from today.
It was officially stated that the special train (04409) will depart from New Delhi at 7.50 am on every Monday and Thursday from November 3 to 17 (five trips) to reach Mata Vaishno Devi-Katra at 8.20 pm the same day. In the return direction, the train (04410) will depart from Mata Vaishno Devi-Katra at 5.40 am on every Tuesday and Friday from from November 2 to 16 (five trips) to reach New Delhi at 5 pm the same day.
At present, the New Delhi-Mata Vaishno Devi-Katra bi-weekly AC express train runs from New Delhi on every Tuesday and Friday while it departs from Mata Vaishno Devi-Katra every Monday and Thursday.
Comprising of executive class and AC chair car coaches, the 04409/04410 New Delhi-Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi bi-weekly AC express special train will stop at Panipat, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi and Udhampur stations en route in both directions.
Meanwhile, Northern Railway will take a traffic block from November 2 to 5 to undertake the non-interlocking work at the Raiwala station yard on the Haridwar-Dehradun section of Moradabad division. As a result, some trains running on Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Rishikesh and Amritsar-Dehradun sections would remain partially cancelled during this period.
The14609/14610 Mata Vaishno Devi-Katra-Rishikesh-Mata Vaishno Devi-Katra Hemkunt Sahib Express train will be short-terminated at/originate from Haridwar and remain partially cancelled between Haridwar and Rishikesh. Similarly, the14632/14631 Amritsar-Dehradun-Amritsar express train will be short-terminated at/originate from Haridwar and remain partially cancelled between Haridwar-Dehradun-Haridwar.
