Student raped by her father’s friend

An 18-year-old girl has been raped by her father’s friend. The suspect has been identified as Rahul, a resident of Old Madhopuri. He is yet to be arrested.

The victim, a student of 12th standard in a government school, told the police that the suspect had known his father for a long time. He visited her house most often.

“In May 2018, when the other members of her family had gone to Nangal to pay obeisance at some religious place, Rahul came to my house and offered me sweets, saying that my father had won a lottery prize. After I consumed the sweets, I fell unconscious. When I regained consciousness after some time, I found myself lying naked on the bed and Rahul clicking my photographs,” the girl alleged.

When she argued with Rahul, he said he had clicked her photographs and also shot a video after stripping her naked. He threatened that he would viral the photos and video on the social media if she informed the police about the incident, the girl alleged.

Rahul then started blackmailing her and had sexually exploited her for several months.

“Since I had been raped by the suspect for the past over seven months, I mustered all my courage and revealed everything to my parents, following which a complaint was lodged with the police,” the girl said.

The investigating officer, SI Hazoor Lal, said the suspect was yet to be arrested.
