Ludhiana: The NCC cadets of Malwa Khalsa Senior Secondary School paid homage to Shaheed–e-Azam Bhagat Singh on his 111th birth anniversary. Principal Karanjit Singh said Saheed Bhagat Singh sacrificed his lives for the freedom of motherland.

BhartiyaVidya Mandir 

Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, paid rich tributes to legendary, revolutionary and freedom fighter Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh on his 111th birth anniversary. Students sang patriotic songs in the morning assembly. Principal Neelam Mittar said, “Leave no stone unturned for bringing reforms in the present system by being Bhagat Singh of your time as it will work as a real tribute to the great freedom fighter.”

Three-day fiesta concludes

The three-day annual fiesta at BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, concluded with a seamless blend of music, dance and drama. Around 420 Kindergarten students spread the magic through “La magia, life is a magic”. “Ye mera sapna se” brought to life a magical bond of a daughter with her father. “Dancalicious” propelled energy into the atmosphere with its vibrant music. The riveting “Friends-The soul of life” and “The greatest magician- A mother” left the audience awestruck. 

World Tourism Day celebrated 

DCM Presidency School celebrated World Tourism Day. Students held discussion on popular tourist destinations, culture, food dances etc of Malaysia, Bhutan, Singapore, Sri Lanka and India. Kids presented dance performances related to the above mentioned nations. Principal Rajni Kalra appreciated efforts of students and motivated them to keep themselves updated with richness of culture.

MGM school student shines

Harmanpreet Singh Gahir, a Class XII student of MGM Public School, Dugri, brought laurels to the school in U-19 district level cricket tournament.  Harmanpreet emerged as the most promising player as he was awarded a gold medal at the district level and has been selected for the state tourney. Earlier, also he bagged a gold medal in U-19 state level championship. Principal Poonam Sharma felicitated the student and assured him complete support and guidance to reach at the pinnacle.

Cook without fire 

Budding Brains International School held an activity “Cook without fire”. Students eagerly participated in the event and prepared numerous dishes in presence of teachers. Principal Mandeep Kaur appreciated efforts of boys and also highlighted career prospects in cooking. Later, students relished dishes prepared by them. — TNS
