Samrala, August 16

Two youths died, while one was injured in a road accident near Neelon Bridge on Wednesday night. The deceased have been identified as Randeep Singh, a resident of Delhi and Pawan Tiagi, a resident of UP. The injured has been identified as Mukul Garg, a resident of Delhi.

As per the information, the trio was travelling from Delhi and when they reached near Neelon, the driver of the car suddenly lost control over the vehicle, which hit a truck coming from the opposite side. The accident was so fierce that the two youths died on the spot, while the third was injured and rushed to the Samrala Civil Hospital, from where he was discharged late evening.

As per the Investigation Officer Tarwinder Kumar, the youths were in an inebriated condition and their I-20 car hit the truck coming from the opposite side without any fault of the truck driver.

SHO Samrala Bhupinder Singh said no case was registered in this regard and the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their guardians after the post-mortem.
