2 coaches of Bikaner-Howrah passenger train derail near Jodhpur

JAIPUR: Two coaches of passenger Bikaner-Howrah train were derailed during shunting at Merta Yard of Jodhpur division in Nagore district on Thursday night.

Two coaches of passenger Bikaner-Howrah train were derailed during shunting at Merta Yard of Jodhpur division in Nagore district on Thursday night.  

The two coaches got tilted, and there was no injury to anyone, DGM and Senior PR of NWR Tarun Jain said on Friday. 

A medical van and accident relief trains were rushed to the site, and the traffic was restored in the wee hours of Friday. 

The train resumed its onward journey from Merta at 12.55 am with all passengers, Jodhpur Railway PRO Gopal Sharma said.
