Conviction of BKI men: Judge security up

Following protests by Sikh activists over last week’s conviction and life imprisonment to three Babbar Khalsa International activists “for possession of literature to incite Khalistan movement”, the district police have stepped up the security of Additional Sessions Judge Randhir Verma.

SP headquarters Harish Dayama said, “In view of protests in Nawanshahr and around, we have provided more security to the judge.”

Carrying similar literature, members of the Dal Khalsa, SGPC and families of the convict today held a protest at the court complex and dared the police to arrest them.
