Abohar, May 21
After failing to meet any senior official in the district administrative complex in Hanumangarh, a debt-ridden farmer of Rawatsar ended his life on Monday.
On Tuesday, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kesar Singh said the body of Surja Ram (52) was found hanging from a tree in the complex park at 8 am.
The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and started investigating the matter. They said they would wait for the autopsy report before taking any action in the case.
Meanwhile, another farmer, Sohan Lal Sharma (60), reportedly immolated himself using kerosene in Rampura village due to prolonged illness.
