BJP aims to enrol 1 crore members till January

The BJP is going all out to woo the state’s populace — especially youngsters — in its membership drive this year.

Currently having 25 lakh members in the state, the party is aiming at 1 crore members by January 2020.

While the BJP had 23 lakh members in the state tilllast year, the number has already reached 25 lakh during the drive which started in the state on July 6.

While the party was previously aiming at 2.5 lakh to 3 lakh members till August 11 this year, with 1.12 lakh primary members already enrolled in a fortnight – the BJP has now expanded its target by 20 per cent – now aiming at 5 lakh members (2 lakh more than the earlier estimate) until August 11. — TNS
