WE lately published the fact that the Government of Bombay fully supported the action of the Bombay Municipal authorities in their campaign of closing up wells in the city as a measure of preventing malaria. The full text of the Government order shows that every point mentioned by the people in their memorial is answered by Government in sympathetic and reasonable way and one cannot but feel that Government want popular co-operation and acquiescence in a case of admitted safety to public health.
