Indian Patriotism in South Africa.

OUR countrymen living in South Africa whether in humble circumstances or in affluence, have been doing what they could to assist the prosecution of the war. Many of them have made great personal sacrifice in giving their help and the Indian Opinion received this week gives typical examples of such sacrifice. It writes: "Four Indians who joined the Ambulance Corps have left for Stanford Hill (says the Natal Mercury's Martizburg correspondent). They are giving up position worth £6 to £9 a month for the sum of the 6d. a day and are leaving their dependents to the care of compatriots and the few Europeans who are interesting themselves in the cause of the Indians." We hope the example set by the Indians will convince the authorities of the steadfast loyalty of Indian fellow subjects of the King-Emperor.
