Post-War Reform Despatch

WHEN last year 19 elected members of the Imperial Legislative Council submitted a memorandum on post-war reforms in India, it was understood that the matter was urgent as the Government of India was about to prepare a despatch on the subject to the Secretary of State. It is believed that by this time the said despatch has been sent, and we notice that an appeal has been made to the Government of India to publish it so that the people in this country may know to what extent the Government of India has supported the people's desires. The present Viceroy has more than once declared that he would, as far as possible, follow the welcome policy of his predecessor, Lord Hardinge, in sympathising with and helping people's aspiration.
