RAJASTHAN ASSEMBLY ADJOURNED ABRUPTLY

JAIPUR, July 21 (PTI)-The Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha was today adjourned sine die amidst uproarious scenes following the announcement of the appointment by the Speaker of Mr. Pukhraj Kalani, a new entrant to the Congress Party as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.

In one of the most rowdy scenes, as the Speaker, Mr. N. N. Acharya, left the House after adjourning it, one of the Opposition members, Mr. Mukat Behari (SSP) proceeded towards the Speaker's chair and occupied it forcefully despite the intervention by the Sergeant-at-Arms.

Several opposition members had by then proceeded to the Sergeant and bodily lifted him out of the House. 

Thereafter, with Mr. Behari in the “Chair”, the Opposition  adopted a resolution declaring “no confidence in the Speaker”
