Kalka, Haridwar train service resumes

BATHINDA: With Dappar-Chandigarh railway section becoming fully operational now, the services of 14888 Barmer-Kalka Express and 24888 Barmer-Haridwar Link Express have resumed.

Bathinda, March 26

With Dappar-Chandigarh railway section becoming fully operational now, the services of 14888 Barmer-Kalka Express and 24888 Barmer-Haridwar Link Express have resumed.

Passengers were having a tough time for the past 10 days as the routes of both these trains were diverted due to the ongoing work on the rail section.

A senior railway employee confirmed that both these trains would now ply as per their normal schedule. With this passengers have heaved a sigh of relief.

Krishan Singh, a passenger, said, “We had decided to visit Haridwar with family, but trains were not plying, due to which we had to cancel the tickets. Moreover, my mother is not able to travel by bus.”

He said the railway authorities should at least update their online app for the convenience of passengers. — TNS
