The draw for flats of Lok Awas Housing Project, Sector 74-A, Mohali, will be held on October 25. Bookings can be made till October 15. The project is located on 200 feet main road and the construction work is in full swing. Bookings can also be made online at lokawas.com. The project has been awarded "Affordable Housing of the Year" award by Remax India. The award was received by Sandeep Arora, sales head, Vera Developers Pvt Ltd.

NFL pays Rs 28.22-crore dividend to government

NFL has paid a dividend of Rs 28.22 crore to the Government of India for the year 2018-19. Manoj Mishra, CMD, NFL, recently presented the cheque of Rs 28.22 crore to Union Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers DV Sadananda Gowda in the presence of Secretary (Fertilizers) Chhabilendra Roul and other senior officials.  NFL has presented a cumulative dividend of Rs 1,156.97 crore to the government till date against paid-up equity of Rs 490.58 crore.

PK Gupta takes over as CMD of NBCC

PK Gupta has taken over as the chairman and managing director of NBCC (India) Ltd. Before taking over the charge of CMD, NBCC, he was executive director (Regional Projects) in RITES Limited, also a CPSE under the Ministry of Railways. Shri Gupta holds a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from NIT, Kurukshetra, and an M Tech from IIT Delhi.

Jaypee varsity holds annual sports fest ‘Parakram 6.0’

Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan, recently conducted 'Parakram 6.0' - a two-day annual sports fest. It was organised by Sports Club, JYC. Dr Sumita Sofat awarded by Oxford, England

Infertility specialist Dr Sumita Sofat of Test Tube Baby Center, Ludhiana, has been awarded the Honorary Professor of Academic Union from the Oxford, England. She is the only Indian doctor to receive this honour. The award was given to her for her remarkable contribution in the field of infertility treatment for the past 24 years.

Fortis Hospital launches unique cab, ambulance service

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, has launched a unique cab and ambulance service. It is different from normal cab service as it is customised service for the elderly and wheelchair-bound patients to reach the hospital. Ashish Bhatia, chief operating officer, and Abhijit Singh, zonal director, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, were present on the occasion. The drivers and staff have been trained in life support at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.

Saraswati Agro Life Science unveils new products 

Saraswati Agro Life Science (India) Pvt Ltd has introduced new products such as SA-Grovit 80, SA-Glazer Pro, SA-Target 70 and SA-Chloroplus to enhance the productivity of farmers.  While SA-Grovit 80 is a contact fungicide, SA-Glazer Pro is an insecticide to be used on crops such as cotton, sugarcane, paddy and groundnut.
