Chandigarh, January 30
The Department of Hindi, PU, organised an event to commemorate the birth anniversary of famous poet, playwright and writer Jaishankar Prasad.
The highlight of the event was a theatrical performance on Prasad’s story, ‘Madhua’, by MA students.
A short film based on the life and literature of Jaishankar Prasad was also screened during the occasion. Students from other educational institutions also participated in the event. Dr Gurmeet Singh, Chairperson of the department, said an effort was made to involve other colleges too.
