Criminal intimidation: Suspect in judicial custody

Mohali, June 14

Kharar resident Baljit Singh was today sent to judicial custody after he was arrested on the charges of criminal intimidation and trespassing.

Manjeet Singh, cousin of late Ludhiana DSP Harjinder Singh, who died of post-Covid complications in Ludhiana, had lodged a complaint against the suspect that he allegedly threatened the complainant at his house in Sector 70, where the deceased’s family is currently putting up.

The police reached the spot, but the suspect allegedly argued with them and was booked for trespassing and deterring a person from discharging his duty as public servant. A case was registered. — TNS
