Delhi Public School

Chandigarh: DPS Chandigarh hosted an annual inter-DPS dance festival at the school auditorium. The dance competition featured 19 dance teams from the north zone-1. The participating teams presented dances based on the themes ‘Barah masa’ - celebrating the Indian seasons and ‘Kavyanjali’ - poetry in motion. Guru Shobha Koser, an eminent kathak dancer, Kamal Arora, Chandigarh-based theatre person and chairman of the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademy, were the guests of honour on the occasion. The cultural extravaganza showcased the diversity of the Indian classical dance styles, costumes and expression. DPS-Chandigarh, was adjudged the winner, while DPS-Azad Nagar, Kanpur, DPS-Mohali and DPS-Ferozepur bagged the first, second and third runners-up positions, respectively. 

Govt Model High School     

Chandigarh: Science and maths mela was conducted at Govt Model High School, Sector 49-D, Chandigarh. More than 150 students participated. Lovleen Kaur (headmistress) addressed the students and encouraged them. 

PML SD Public School     

Chandigarh: Students of PML SD Public School, Sector 19-C, staged an act in the morning assembly promoting environmental awareness among the students. The students gave a message on the importance of protecting environment. 

AKSIPS-125 Smart School     

Chandigarh: A tricolour sandwich-making activity was conducted at AKSIPS-125 Smart School. Principal Jagjit Sekhon encouraged the students to bring healthy homemade food.. 

St Xavier’s High School     

Panchkula: Expressions — an inter-class and inter-house elocution competition was held at the junior wing of St Xavier’s High School, Panchkula. The students recited poems with a lot of enthusiasm and voice modulation.. 

Saupin’s School     

Chandigarh: Saupin's-32 took part in the national deworming initiative of the Chandigarh Administration. Deworming medicines were given to parents at the school infirmary. 

AKSIPS-45 Smart School      

Chandigarh: National deworming day was observed at AKSIPS -45 Smart School. Students of classes pre-nursery to X were given albendazole medicine. 

St Joseph’s Sr Sec School      

Chandigarh: Slogan writing activity was conducted for the students of Class V of St Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh. The students unleashed their creativity through catchy slogans with full patriotic fervour and zeal. They exhibited thought provoking and inspirational slogans.
