Shemrock School, Mohali

Shemrock & Oakfields Group of Schools Managing Director Karan Bajwa was awarded ‘Future 50 Leader Shaping Success 2019’. The award was conferred on MD Bajwa for building a comprehensive school ecosystem and making students future-ready. He has been honoured with ‘Future 50 Leader Shaping Success, 2019’ award in the field of education at Amity University in Jaipur.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh

A seminar on 'New age aptitude-based career options' was organised by the PRATHAM Test Prep institution at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27. The seminar was aimed at creating awareness on the emerging career options in various fields.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chandigarh

KV OCF, Sector 29-B, hosted a cluster-level dance competition, under ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’. In the competition, 10 schools of the Chandigarh cluster took part in the competetion. The competition was divided into three categories. Winners of cluster level will represent their clusters at the regional level.

St Soldier International, Mohali

Janmashtami was celebrated at St Soldier International Convent School, Phase 7, Mohali, with enthusiasm. Toddlers dressed up in colourful costumes of Lord Krishna, Radha, ‘Gopies’ and ‘Gwalas’. They were told about the the birth of Lord Krishna and the different names given to him. The love shared by Krishna and his mother Yashoda was showcased beautifully. The activity ended with a popular ‘bhajan’ followed by a dance.

DC Montessori, Mani Majra

A group of students of DC Montessori School took out a ‘Say No to Plastic ‘ rally to encourage people to shun using polythene bags. Students distributed 50 handmade bags among vendors and shopkeepers and spoke to them about the harmful effects of plastic.

Kids ‘R’ Kids, Chandigarh

Kids ‘R’ Kids School, Sector 42-C, celebrated Janmashtami with devotion. The school echoed with the mesmerising dance and song performances by students who dressed up as cherubic ‘Radha’ and ‘Krishna’.

Dav Public, CHANDIGARH

Janmashtami was celebrated jubilantly by the kindergarten section of DAV Public School, Chandigarh. The tiny tots looked lively and lovely in the costumes of ‘Radha’ and ‘Krishna’. Class teachers narrated the significance of the festival to the kids. They also danced to the tunes of songs.

Blue Bird, Panchkula

Janmashtami was celebrated at Blue Bird High School, Panchkula, with zeal. Enactment of various religious characters and melodious singing and dancing items mesmerised the audience. TNS
