Chandigarh, February 22
A 60-year-old woman pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck near the Shastri Nagar light point. According to the police, Shanti, a resident of Shastri Nagar, was hit by a truck on February 21.
She was injured and rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The police said the truck was being driven by Ankush Kumar of Mani Majra.
A case has been registered at the IT Park police station. The suspect was arrested and later released on bail. — TNS
