Missing Dadu Majra man found dead at Maloya

CHANDIGARH: The body of a 33-year-old man, who was missing for the past five days, was found under mysterious circumstances at a forest area in Maloya on Monday afternoon.

The body of a 33-year-old man, who was missing for the past five days, was found under mysterious circumstances at a forest area in Maloya on Monday afternoon.

Sources said someone noticed the body and informed the police.

Cops and a team of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) visited the spot.

The victim has been identified as Sher Singh, a resident of Dadu Majra, who used to work as a painter.

The body had some injury marks on head and near an eye. The body was shifted to the mortuary at the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH) in Sector 16 here.

The police said the cause of death would be ascertained during autopsy.

Meanwhile, an inquest proceeding has been initiated by the police at the Maloya police station.
