Zirakpur, February 4
Residents of several housing societies are peeved at the pitiable condition of the link road from Adda Jhungian to Chhatt village. They complained that potholes and slush at the PR-7 Road near the airport light point on the Rajpura-Zirakpur highway have been in poor condition for many years. Harshit Jain, a resident of Ananta Lifestyle, said, “It becomes challenging to drive on this road at night as there is always a risk of accidents because of the deep potholes, bald patches, and slush.”
Another resident, Kanver Lal, said,” It becomes very difficult to tread on this stretch as stagnant water and slushy, slippery roads give nightmares to residents.”
In Kishanpura, Zirakpur, residents said the main road has turned into a pool of stagnant rainwater, making the commute challenging and dangerous for the residents.
