PU rowers finish on top

Chandigarh, February 26 

Panjab University rowers clocked 6:57.33 to top the light weight category double scull competition in the All-India Inter-University Rowing Championship at Sukhna Lake here on Tuesday. Savitribai Phule Pune University (7:17.563) finished second. 

In women’s double scull race, PU led the field with a timing of 6:32.183, followed by Punjabi University, Patiala (6:49.143) in second place. 

In the men’s single scull contest, PES University, Bengaluru, finished first with a timing of 7:06.51. MIT ADT University (7:12.886) followed in second place, while VTU, Bengaluru (7:23.95), bagged the third position.

In the men’s coxless-four race, Chandigarh University clocked 5:34.08 to top the podium. Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (5:40.30), bagged the second position, while MIT World University occupied the third place.
