Chandigarh, February 11

More than 92 riders, including four from other countries, are taking part in the tent pegging nationals being held for the first time in the Tricity, at the Sector 51 grounds on Sunday.

Teams from Punjab Police, Haryana Police, Rajasthan Police, BSF, Army, ITBP, and private riders are taking part in the six-day event at the Chandigarh Horse Riding Society.

Organising secretary JS Toor said, “The tent pegging nationals will be held here from February 11 to 16. Keen competition is expected here as accomplished riders, including four international rider, from across the country will pit their skills here. As many as 150 horses will take part in the competition. Trotting parade was conducted on Saturday in which competing horses were medicallly examined.”
