Swine flu claims another life

The district health authorities reported one more death due to swine flu today. A 27-year-old youth was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Zirakpur. Later, he was shifted to the GMCH, Chandigarh, after his condition deteriorated. His test report confirmed swine flu after which he was shifted to an isolation ward, where he succumbed to the deadly virus today. We got him cremated as per the guidelines of the Health Department,” said a doctor on condition of anonymity. Health officials said they had found 12 persons who were in contact with the victim. — OC
